Can I disable the First Time Help?

When playing ROME: Total War for the first time, the Advice Level setting automatically defaults to First Time Help. When First Time Help is enabled, advice automatically appears each time you encounter something new.

You can disable this by lowering the Advice Level to anything other than First Time Help. You can do this during a campaign by opening the Pause menu and selecting Options. You can also change this setting when starting a new campaign.

If you leave the Advice Level on High, Medium or Low, you will still receive advice, but it will not automatically appear. Instead, the Advisor portrait in the top-left corner will glow when new advice is available; tap the Advisor to read it.

Regardless of the Advice Level setting, you can also tap and hold on any button in the game to see an explanation of its function.
