This document is intended to help you answer any questions that you may have about Life Is Strange™
Life Is Strange has been fully tested on Ubuntu 16.04 and SteamOS 2.0. For the best gameplay experience, we recommend you use one of these distros.
The game should also work on other recent versions of Ubuntu, and may also work on other Linux distros; however, as the game has not been tested on these, it is possible that you will encounter performance and gameplay issues, and we do not currently offer support for other versions or distros.
The graphics card series and driver versions below have been tested, and these and higher series or versions will run the game without issues:
Nvidia
Series: 640
Driver version: 367.27
NOTE: Open-source Nvidia graphics drivers are not currently supported by Life Is Strange. Unfortunately, the current open-source Nvidia drivers do not support a number of the graphical features used in the game.
AMD
Series: R9 270
Driver version: MESA 11.2
NOTE: AMD GPUs are not supported on SteamOS.
Intel

You can purchase the Life Is Strange Season Pass from the Steam store. Please note that Episodes 2-5 cannot be purchased individually on Steam.
The Directors' Commentary is a free piece of DLC that adds exclusive behind the scenes videos to Life Is Strange.
If you purchased Life Is Strange on Steam, you can download the Directors' Commentary from the Steam store. Once downloaded, the videos will be available in-game from the Main Menu.
In Life Is Strange, all voice acting is performed in English only. However, text and subtitles are available in the following languages:
If you are playing Life Is Strange on Steam, you can change the language settings in-game by selecting Help & Options → Settings → Language and Subtitles Settings from the Main Menu. Set the Subtitles Language setting to your preferred language.

The game supports gamepads using the SDL 2.0 API. For more information about SDL, see the SDL Wiki.
The gamepads in the following list have been tested and are supported by Life Is Strange:
The pads below are also supported by SDL and you should be able to use them to play Life Is Strange. However, as they have not been tested with the game, we cannot guarantee that they will work:
If you encounter problems when using any of the gamepads listed above, please contact our technical support team.
* The Xbox One controller works by default with SteamOS, but will only work with Ubuntu 14.04.2 when using Linux kernel version 3.17 or above.
** In order to use your PlayStation pad with Life Is Strange, you may need to press the PlayStation button in the center of the controller after connecting the pad to your computer. This allows your computer to recognize the pad.
Switching between a virtual terminal (by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F1-F6) and the X server (by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F7) while the game is running may cause the game to crash or the graphics to render incorrectly.
The problem will be fixed the next time you launch the game.
We do not recommend switching to a virtual terminal while running the game, as the problem is likely to occur each time you do so.
There are several factors which have an impact on the speed at which Life Is Strange runs. Please see the Life Is Strange Performance Tips section in the ReadMe for ways to increase the speed at which the game runs on your computer.
Please read the technical support information in the ReadMe; this tells you what to check and if necessary, how to contact Feral Technical Support with your issue.
