How do I play a multiplayer match in SEGA Superstars Tennis?

Multiplayer matches in SEGA Superstars Tennis can be played with two players (for a singles match) or up to four players (for a doubles match) sharing the same computer.

Players can use the keyboard and/or gamepads, providing all devices are plugged into your Mac before you start SEGA Superstars Tennis. Up to two players can share the same keyboard.

Playing a multiplayer match is slightly different depending on whether or not you are “1P”, the first player to press the C key when the Title screen appears (see Getting Started in the Read Me).

If you are 1P:

  1. From the Main Menu, select Match.

  2. Select Singles or Doubles, depending on the type of match you wish to play.

  3. The character selection screen will appear. To select your character, highlight a character icon and press the C key.

  4. Once all players have chosen their characters, select the COM (computer-controlled) characters, if necessary. Press the C key.

  5. A picture of the court will appear. Choose positions for your character and any COM characters.

  6. Once all players have chosen their positions, press the C key.

  7. Customize the match using the options that appear. Once you are happy with your settings, select OK to start the match.

If you are not 1P:

  1. When the character selection screen appears, press the Backspace (←) key on the keyboard to join the game.

  2. Choose a character.

  3. Once all players have chosen their characters, a picture of the court will appear. Choose the position for your character.

  4. Once all players have chosen their positions, 1P will customize the game settings and start the match.
