How do I save my game?

ROME: Total War auto-saves your game at the start of every turn in Campaign mode. You can also manually save your game through the Pause menu.

When fighting on the Battle map, the game autosaves frequently. You can close the game during a battle; when you next launch the game, you will be asked if you wish to continue from where you left off.
