I recently updated Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition – why has my save game disappeared?

If you recently updated to version 1.2.1 of Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition and can no longer access your save game, you may need to rename one of the game's save folders to restore it. You can do so by following the steps below:

1. Open Finder.

2. Navigate to the following folder: ⁨Users⁩ → ⁨[username] → ⁨Library⁩ → ⁨Containers⁩ → ⁨com.feralinteractive.bmac⁩ → ⁨Data⁩ → ⁨Library⁩ → ⁨Application Support⁩ → ⁨Feral Interactive⁩ → ⁨Batman Arkham City GOTY⁩ → Saves. There should be two folders inside the Saves folder.

3. One folder will be called 0000000000000001 – rename this folder to any other name, or delete it.

4. Rename the second folder to 0000000000000001.

5. Close Finder, then restart Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition.

Your save game should now be available. If you continue to have trouble, please contact Feral support.
