How does the saving system function in Alien: Isolation?
Alien: Isolation requires players to manually save their progress at registration points (represented by an Emergency telephone booth). The game will also autosave occasionally, for example when beginning a new level. A tape icon will appear in the top right of the screen when the game is saving. You will be returned to your last save point should you meet your demise in the game.
Alien: Isolation utilises a lot of system memory; if your device is using too much memory while performing multiple tasks, your device may close minimised apps to free up memory for active apps or tasks. This means when you go to resume Alien: Isolation it may need to relaunch. We therefore advise that you save your progress every time you see a registration point, as the game will return to your last save point when relaunched.
