    As part of the Steam download process, the game has already been installed on your computer. To start playing the game, read the Getting Started section.

  2. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising Performance Tips

    The most important factors in determining how smoothly Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising plays are your CPU speed, the amount of built-in RAM, the type of graphics card in your computer and the in-game settings you select.

    Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising is playable with the minimum specifications listed below, but it will play more smoothly on faster computers with more RAM. However, if you are dissatisfied with the performance of the game on your computer, there are a couple of things you can do that are likely to improve performance:


    In addition to these general Mac actions, there are some specific in-game settings you can select to speed up the game. These are listed below in order of performance improvement (largest improvement first). Move down the list adjusting settings until you find an acceptable balance between good performance and acceptable graphics.


    NOTE: All of these settings are found in either Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising's pre-game Options window under the Video tab or within the game under OptionsGraphics, accessible from the Main Menu.

  3. Macintosh Specific Extras - Pre-game Options Window

    Feral games come with a pre-game Options window. This window offers Mac-specific extra features, described below.

    Extras Tab - iTunes Pausing
    Selecting this feature will automatically pause any currently playing song in iTunes while Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising is running. Playback will be resumed when the game is quit or paused.

    Extras Tab - iChat or Messages Away Status
    Selecting this feature will automatically set your iChat (called "Messages" in OS X 10.8 or later) status to "away" while Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising is running. You can select different "away" messages from the pop-up menu. The "away" options are taken from the user's iChat (or Messages) status listings.

    Support Tab - Support - A Helping Hand
    If you encounter a problem with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising, you can use the Support tab to consult Feral's online FAQs. If your problem is not covered by the FAQs, you can contact Feral using the automated game report system. This automatically creates a file with information about your computer that is useful to the Feral Technical Support team in helping to solve the problem.

  4. Uninstalling

    To uninstall Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising, follow these steps:

    1. Double-click on the Steam application icon. By default this is located in the Applications folder on your computer's hard drive.

    2. If you are not already signed in, the Steam Login dialog will appear. Enter your account name and password, then select Login.

    3. The Steam application will launch. Select the Library tab.

    4. In the library, right-click on Warhammer® 40,000®: Dawn of War® II - Chaos Rising in the list of games on the left-hand side of the window, then select Uninstall....

    5. A dialog will appear confirming that you wish to delete all the game content. Select Delete.

    The game is supported on the following Macs. To check your Mac model and when it was released, select About This Mac from the Apple menu on your menu bar.

    (1) Models with an Intel HD4000 or HD5000 graphics card require at least 8GB of RAM

    The following Macs are capable of running the game but do not consistently meet the standards required for official support.

    All the information required can be obtained by opening Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising and clicking on the Support tab in the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising pre-game Options window. In the Support tab, click on the Generate Report button. Once the report is generated it will appear as a file in your ~/Downloads folder (the “~” symbol refers to your home directory). Now click on the Create Email button. Remember to attach the Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising Report.txt file to your email.

    In your email, please include a brief description of the problem you have experienced with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising.
